The past 12 months has been a busy time for Microgaming's Multi-Player and Tournament network. Several new events are now available and with each new event players also now get to experience new tournament games such as Girls with Guns Jungle Heat, Sweet Harvest and Shoot!
The first new tournament game to arrive back in January was The Finer Reels of Life and then Starlight Kiss followed in February. Participating Microgaming casinos then hosted an enormous €100k Multi-Player Network Tournament which started on March 19th called the March to Riches Tournament (involving The Finer Reels of Life). This came just a few months after Microgaming’s successful €100k Festive Frenzy Slot Tournament which ran over the Christmas period.
After these new tournaments arrived, the new Girls with Guns – Jungle Heat Slot Tournament launched on March 24th and this became a Weekly One Shot event, offering a €1,000 prize pool and awarding the top 20 players with huge prizes. Speaking at the time was Microgaming’s spokesperson for Multi-Player Games, James Ford; "Our Festive Frenzy tournament in December proved very effective. We know that our operators' players love attention-grabbing prize pools and that's why we saw a large volume of players participate."
In May 2014, Microgaming casinos hosted the Magnificent May Slot Tournament (which also involved the Girls with Guns – Jungle Heat slot machine) and then in June 2014, players were competing in the recently added Shoot! Slot Tournament (which was part of the Reels de Janeiro promotion). This extended online slot tournament had a massive €175,000 prize pool up for grabs and it arrived just in time for the Football World Cup in Brazil, eventually finishing on July 31st. Five players each walked away with €10,000 apiece from this event.
One of the latest games to have been added to this network was a summer themed slot called Sweet Harvest. This game one was selected for Microgaming’s August Accumulator Tournament and it is now a regular fixture on the tournament network. Speaking in August, Microgaming’s spokesperson added;
“We’ve had a busy few months with multi-player. Not only have we continued with our monthly new games releases, such as Sweet Harvest tournament slot, but we’ve also had one of our biggest ever multi-player tournaments, Reels de Janeiro. And there’s no sign of things slowing down; our operators and their players can expect more games and more big tournaments in the coming months.”
Some of the other tourneys to keep an eye out for at your favourite Microgaming casino include The Accumulator, the Weekly Whopper, the Midweek Moolah, the Monthly Monster, Survivor events, All Day Reloader events, All Day Extender events and the Weekly One Shots, as well as plenty of Freeroll Slot Tournaments.
